Q: Is the pressure activated adhesive replacing the adhesive you use on patches?
A: No. We have a long standing relationship with a trusted adhesive manufacturer that we’ve used for years on our hat patches. It’s proven, reliable, and backed by our lifetime guarantee. All of our patches will continue to use that same adhesive.
Q: Can I get patches made with this pressure adhesive?
A: Yes. Processing times and backing options may vary depending on the order. Contact us directly and we’ll go over what options are available.
Q: How long does the adhesive last? Can it be removed?
A: The hold is permanent under normal use. Once applied, it will not simply peel off. However, like most adhesives, heat can break the bond. If needed, apply strong heat and slowly peel it back to remove it.
Q: Does the adhesive need time to cure? What about rain, snow, or washing?
A: The adhesive fully cures in about 24 hours, but the curing process speeds up dramatically with movement and wear. In many cases it can set in as little as 15 minutes.

A: Not at this time. The adhesive is currently only available on FoundryTags products.
Q: What materials will this stick to?
A: Pressure activated FoundryTags are designed specifically for hat fabrics and hat bands, including cotton, poly blends, trucker mesh panels, and most common hat materials. For best results apply to a clean, dry surface and press firmly for a few seconds.
Q: Do I need any special tools to apply them?
A: No tools required. Just peel the liner and press firmly for about 5 seconds. That’s it. No heat press, no iron, no equipment.
Q: Will it damage the hat if I remove it?
A: It depends on the material. Because the adhesive forms a very strong bond, removing it with heat may leave residue or affect the fabric underneath. We recommend applying FoundryTags only when you're sure of placement.
Q: What if I apply it crooked?
A: Once pressure is applied, the adhesive grabs quickly. You may have a few seconds to reposition lightly, but after firm pressure it becomes permanent. We recommend lining up placement before pressing firmly.
