Full-Color Patches with a Holographic Finish
Custom holographic patches combine full-color UV printing with reflective holographic areas that change appearance as the light moves. The result is a patch that keeps the detail and color flexibility of UV printing while adding a metallic rainbow effect to selected parts of the design.
By default, white areas in your artwork print as holographic. Other colors receive a solid white underbase so they remain bright, crisp, and readable instead of being overpowered by the reflective material underneath.
This makes holographic patches a strong fit for logos, outlines, highlights, backgrounds, accent shapes, event artwork, lifestyle brands, and designs that need an eye-catching premium finish without turning the entire patch into a reflective surface.
Control Exactly Where the Holographic Effect Appears
For standard artwork, white areas are treated as holographic by default while colored areas are protected with a white underbase for stronger color output.
If you want exact control over the effect, provide an editable SVG, PSD, or Adobe Illustrator file with clearly defined paths or layers. That lets you specify which logos, outlines, highlights, backgrounds, or other elements should show the holographic material.
The selective approach keeps the holographic finish as an accent instead of a distraction, helping important text and full-color artwork stay readable while still giving the patch a distinctive reflective look.
